The workshop organized by the SEA-EU Alliance at the University of Malta gathered students, academic staff and researchers, together with local companied and NGOs with aims to look:
- At challenges facing the ‘blue economy’ in a small island state, where so many multiple (and often conflicting) interests and ambitions converge along the same narrow coastline: -industrial, commercial, residential, recreational, touristic and more.
- To provide participants with an interdisciplinary introduction to the case
- To offer participants the opportunity of an active fieldwork session that involves walking along the shore of the particular locality of Marsaskala, South-East Malta.
